Blue Cross Blue Shield: Medicare Video Series
This video series spotlights Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Medicare Advantage Plans and inspires members to use its many benefits and services, including help to set up medical appointments and to find specialists, prescription drug coverage, zero-dollar preventive services, a large network of physicians and more. I worked closely with TRAFFIK agency where we created this series customized for 5 states across the U.S.
The video spotlights Blue Cross and Blue Shield Medicare Advantage Plans and inspires members to use its many benefits and services, including help to set up medical appointments and to find specialists, prescription drug coverage, zero-dollar preventive services, a large network of physicians and more.
October 15 through December 7 is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, when members can determine whether their plan will continue to meet their needs the following year. If so, coverage continues. If unsure, members should refer to their Annual Notice of Change (ANOC). After checking for plan changes, members should look at their often-used benefits, consider those they may need, figure out maximum out-of-pocket costs, and then they should call Blue Cross and Blue Shield for help in possibly adjusting their Medicare plan.

THE PROCESS
Storyboarding.
As our target audience is Blue Cross Blue Shield’s members who are 65 and above, we want to make sure the message is clear, concise, and easy to understand. We also made sure the overall transitions were consistent across all 4 videos.
Visual Style.
Working with Blue Cross Blue Shield’s style guide and color palette, we created characters and visual assets that were an extension of Blue Cross Blue Shield’s brand.
These videos are versioned out across 5 different states and accessible to Blue Cross Blue Shield members via their member portal and BCBS’s YouTube channel.
